  • Create some New Year Resolutions you will keep!
Maybe you've had it with New Year Resolutions?

See our Top Ten Tips on creating resolutions you can keep!
Or take a bolder look...as we get older, it becomes easier to look at the rest of our lives instead of just the next 12 months.

  • Want to know some FUN things about the Euro??
On 1 January 2002, the euro banknotes and coins were introduced in 12 Member States of the European Union, with seven different banknotes and eight coins.

Try out the Children's Zone on the European Central Bank's website. There you will find 'colouring in the notes' and a brilliant game that let's you use the new notes in a vending machine that sells all sorts of domestic goods and food.

Can you answer this riddle? A pound sterling is to pennies, what a Euro is to... (no, I didn't know either!!).

Check out our Fun Sites for kids for more.

PLUS... Make a difference. All that change left over from foreign holidays will be useless in a very few months. Age Concern can put them to good use now. See their new Fight the Freezewebsite

  • Indigo Kids?
Spirited kids are the ones who have guts and gumption and will do well in life - as long as they get through childhood and adolescence in one piece - which, considering their escapades and daring, may often be in doubt... Now there's a new concept - a new generation for the new millenium? There's a campaign afoot to stop us mis-diagnosing these children as ADHD and start recognising their contribution to society and all our futures...

  • Living without your child
We have started a new section on MotherwiseUK for mums living and surviving without their children. This was inspired by a website called MATCH, dedicated to all mothers living apart from their children. This is work in progress and your contributions are greatly welcomed.

Surviving loss...

  • America Mourns - Messages of Hope
Mothers from over 60 nations lost children in the recent events in America. Up to 2000 children have lost one or more parents. We have a message for mothers everywhere

PLUS - What do we tell our own children about what happened? How can we give meaning to such extreme events? What can we learn for our own lives?

We offer three pages of resources to meet the challenge of understanding and an opportunity to light a candle for the future. A tour of New York, Christmas 2001, includes Macey's famous shop front displays. America's motto throughout these tragic events has been 'business as usual'...
